Aromas and Flavours
This outstanding wine has pronounced aromas and flavours of black fruits, including black plum, black cherry, blackberry, as well as dried blackberry and prune. The tertiary aromas of tobacco, leather and forest floor together with elegant creamy and meaty notes take the experience to a completely different level.
The great complexity, well integrated tannins, high acidity and pronounced flavour intensity with outstanding long finish, make this a wine with a tremendous potential to age.
Best served decanted for at least one hour at temperature of 18-20°C.
Voskevaz Winery was founded in 1932 in Aragatsotn region located in the foothills of Mount Aragats, the highest mountain in Armenia with elevation of 4090m. Voskevaz in Armenian means “golden bunch”. The renaissance of the winery began in 2004 with the sole focus on Armenian indigenous varieties using both traditional old karases (clay amphorae) and modern wine-making technology.
Tribute to the Ancestors
To commemorate 100 years of Armenian Genocide, in 2015 it was decided to select the best oak barrels from different vintages and indigenous varieties and create this outstanding blend. This is a limited edition of one off release and is not planned to be repeated.
